Don Paterson (b. 1963) is an accomplished jazz musician as well as a poet born in Dundee, His first collection, Nil Nil, came out in 1993 and won the Forward Prize for the Best First Collection. Subsequent collections include God's Gift to Women and Landing Light, both recipients of the T. S. Eliot Prize. Paterson is currently poetry editor at Picador, teaches in the School of English at St Andrews University. He recerived an OBE in 2008 and The Queen’s Medal for poetry in 2010. His most recent collection Rain won the Forward prize.
William Letford lives in Stirling. He has recieved New Writer's Award from the Scottish Book Trust, an SQA Star Award, an Edwin Morgan Travel Bursary, and the Stirling Provost Award for Arts and Culture. Earlier this year he travelled to Lebanon with Reel Festivals to work with Arabic poets on translating their work into English. Most Recently he has been published in Carcanet's Anthology 'New Poetries V.' Peter Mackay is a writer, broadcaster and academic. A pamphlet of his poems From Another Island was published by Clutag Press in 2010, and his work has appeared widely in Scotland and Ireland. A native Gaelic speaker from the Isle of Lewis, he writes in both Gaelic and English.
