Muse is a regular free newsletter packed with information on current poetry news, forthcoming poetry events and a featured poet.
Poet Residencies
St Mungo’s Mirrorball is working in partnership with the Scottish Poetry Library, Strathclyde Passenger Transport and the Scottish Arts Council to support one poet to work with passengers and staff of the Glasgow Underground and with local schools.The project started in August 08
New poets award Scheme
St Mungos Mirrorball is working in partnership with Dreadful Night Press and Culture and Sport Glasgow to provide the opportunity of a support package to the winner of the annual Glasgow New Poets competition. This package will include the opportunity to have their first collection published and mentoring support from an established poet.
Mentoring and coaching
St Mungos Mirrroball is working with the Glasgow City Council to provide poetry tutorials and workshops for poets at different stages of development. Clydebuilt is a mentoring scheme for developing new poets. it ahs successfully running for a number of years.
Education
St Mungos Mirrorball is looking at opportunities with the Scottish Poetry Library to support pupils to have greater access to poetry in schools developing both readers and writers.
Aye Write
St Mungos Mirrorball support and host poetry events at Glasgow’s Aye Write festival. This includes an opportunity for those wanting to read their poems in public through the ever popular open mike session.
Stanza
St Mungos Mirrorball work with Stanza – Scotland’s national poetry Festival - to promote and showcase the best of Glasgow poetry. |
